My name is Marla and I am a mom (3.5year old and 8 month old), wife, nurse and (hopefully) budding artist...I originally signed up for this class to learn to use my camera better. While waiting for the class to start up ,I started playing with my camera and began falling in love with the art of photography. I am really excited to learn from Rob. The first class really grabbed me and has motivated me to try to learn as much as I can!
A Perfect Exposure
The yellow flower...I liked the way this one turned out with the blur of the greenery in front of and behind (with a little detail in front). I used a faster shutter speed in order for it to look bright with a washed out background. I wish the greenery filled the frame top to bottom, though. I think the bright sky behind is a bit distracting.
The orange flower...I liked the detail seen on this and the bright color. It was very hard for me to get the entire flower in focus and I am wondering if this was because of the short focal length of my lens? This was taken with a 50mm 1.4 lens.
two things...first this is exercise three and I meant to write "used a slower speed to make brighter"...oops :-) Thanks!
