3 flowers and a bee

I took these pictures while my family was napping...the only time I get a chance to practice with my little ones. The first one (white flower) only the middle is in focus. I can only assume it is because my aperture was 2.8. The next two (calla lily with bee) are some of my favorites. I took a few pictures with the bee but these are my favorites because it looks as if the bee is saying, "Hi there!" Is there any way to get the entire calla lily in focus but have a blurred background? I am not sure how I feed about the last two (the yellow flower). I like the background but the first picture you can see the dirt that was on the peddles but I wanted a brighter yellow so I slowed down the shutter speed but the focus seemed to blur the edges. :(
