Day One - Already Behind!

My name is Arlene and I have owned my Nikon D80 for over 2 1/2 years. I finally found the right class and the time to learn how to use it. I am married and we have a 4 year old boy what is adamant about the fact that he does not like to get his photo taken! I am excited about this class!

Our homework assignement was to try to photographic a flower with a blurred background. It was suggested we spend 30 minutes a day on this new skill. I spent about 30 minutes after classon Thursday night with some roses I had in my house. They came out dark although I thought I had the setting correct. Today, I had no free time at all....this is why I am on my computer again at 12:30am! I will pray for clear skies tomorrow and I will find the hour I need to catch up!
