Panning gone bad??? Practice is practice. Your goal was to make the subject slighly less blurry than the background. (Which you did!)
ReplyDeleteThinking of this image as a failure is a big mistake. Its beautiful. How can I (who has no connection to this cute child) adore this image more than you (the one who has the connection)? It doesn't make sense.
You are doing fine. If you want your child in more focus then just keep up with him. Concentrate!!!! Keep in mind that every part of his body is moving, so you'll need to pick a body part as well.
The Truth: The real goal of every one of these assignments has nothing to do with you 'liking' the pictures you shoot — they're designed to make you shoot, practice and think. And you did just that. You succeeded whether you want to believe it or not. Just get back out there and do it again, again and again.
The great photos can only come later, once you've got the experience to make them happen ... and experience only comes from practice.
You're doing fine and this image is adorable!
