Flower Assignment

My name is Lani and I am a full-time mom of a toddler with a few part time jobs. I am starting a small portrait photography business and am excited to learn!
Switching to manual focus has been very difficult for me. I feel like I can't seem to get my target in focus without much effort. (As evidenced by my first two shots) Even when I think I have my son in focus, I'll open the pictures on my computer and see that he is just not quite in focus, no matter how hard I try. Please say that we'll spend time learning how to focus!!!! Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
