The IFLC offers special two-session and four-session courses through several San Diego adult education facilities. Here our students come face-to-face with the philosophies, techniques and theories of being a true In Focus photographer. If you are member of one of these courses and want to participate in this extra resource, simply request authorship by clicking on the link below. Let us know which adult education facility you are currently enrolled in. Once verified we'll send you an invitation to become a full member of this web site. Simply follow the instructions from Google and you're ready. You'll soon be able to post images and gain full-access to your instructors.

Some helpful posting hints - So your posts don't get deleted

As your class progresses, you'll see hundreds of photos appear from all of our students in all of our adult courses. Your instructors will look at every image that is posted and will comment on as many as they can. Keep in mind though that if they feel you are on target and moving in a direction that will allow you to make it to your goal ... they may not comment. But if they do notice something that needs to be addressed, rest assured they'll make sure you know what it is.

Because of the large number of photos being posted there may come a time when you notice that your entry has been deleted. This can happen for various reasons:

The Blogger system itself sometimes 'acts-up,' deleting posts or simply not allowing authors to post at specific times. There is really nothing we here can do about that ... the only suggestion we have is to try to post again.

The post itself has too many spaces (or gaps) between images. Dead space is a bad thing to a free-flowing blog. If we notice that your post has too many gaps between images we'll usually take it down. If we don't we've had the experience that this crashes the blog itself — plus it just looks messy.

Your post has too many photos. While we love the fact that everyone wants to post images, try to keep the entries to just the homework assignments or lessons provided. Please don't post 20 images that span weeks of work. It's just too much and your post will be deleted.

Nothing written. If you've posted a few photos ... please tell us which assignment they are for and a little about them. This is how we all learn from each other.

Images off-topic. While we would love to look at photos of your family or your vacation from last year. This is a class dedicated to learning manual control of your camera — keep that in mind when posting and make sure that your posts have something to do with the class.

Nudity. Never on our site — we are a family business and we will not tolerate this. Not only will your post be deleted, but we will ban your I.P. address from ever contacting one of our servers.
