Hi, I'm Rod Deutschmann

It's important that we get to know each other a bit ... so I'll start the introductions.

Hello Friends

My name is Rod Deutschmann and I'm from Illinois originally, left when I was 18. I joined the Marine Corps and fell in love with the honesty, the feeling of family and the dedication to something bigger than myself.

I stayed in the Corps for a while as a combat correspondent, then moved onto a career as a newspaper journalist. I worked my way up to managing editor then gave it all up to pursue my one true dream and passion — showing others how to be artists with their cameras.

I quite my career one year ago next week to be exact ... and I've never looked back.

I love what I do now, being with such fine and focused people is a blessing and an honor ... and I thank you for your trust and faith.

I'm married to Robin of course and have five great kids, three of which still live at home.

My goal with creating this lecture was to give people an honest look at how great messages are created with an off camera flash — minus the hype and nonsense.

I hope you enjoy this lecture and your blog. It will be challenging if you push forward, this I promise. Just remember: with enough faith and commitment anything is possible.

If you'd like to see a more complete biography that covers my actual experience and qualifications .... scroll to the bottom of this blog.
